Summer may seem ages away but Eagle Bluff is getting ready for another great summer of hiking, geocaching, paddling, exploring and learning! We're excited to announce our camps this summer so check the list below to see all of our offerings!

RESIDENTIAL CAMPS:
Night Camp

July 11-14, 2010
Cost: $265
A camp for the true night owl! Campers will experience life after the sun goes down through night hikes, star gazing, owl pellet dissections, and more! Each night campers will stay up later than the previous and by the last night, campers will watch the sunrise before heading off to bed. Rest assured campers will have at least 8 hours of sleep each day!
Grades: 6, 7, and 8
Forkhorn Camp

July 18-23, 2010
Cost: $380
Are you interested in perfecting your ability to track a deer? How about testing your aim at our gun and archery ranges? Forkhorn campers will do these activities and more at this camp co-sponsored by the Minnestoa Deer Hunters Association! While we encourage campers to have previously completed their Firearms Safety Certification course prior to camp, those individuals without it will be able to complete the course and take the test during camp. This camp is on of our most popular, so be sure to register early!
Grades: Entering 6, 7, and 8.

Water Adventure Camp -
August 1-4, 2010
Cost: $265
Get your feet wet with a field trip sampler highlighting the unique Root River Valley! This area of Minnesota is known specifically for its fishing, river recreation, and caving opportunities. We will be sure to make the most of what there is to offer! Two out of the three nights will be spent in the dormitory, while the third night will be spent camping out along side the Root River.

EXCURSION CAMPS:
Paddlers Camp

June 27-30, 2010
Cost: $300
Want to spend a few days canoeing, but not quite ready for the Boundary Waters? This is the perfect camp for you! Campers will spend three days canoeing approximately 30 miles down the Root River all the while learning the basics of canoeing, camping out, and extended outdoor trips. The first night of camp will be spent on site in the dormitory, while the others will spent in designated campsites along side the Root River.
Grades: Entering 7, 8, and 9.
State Park Excursion: Whitewater State Park
CAMP IS CLOSED!
July 25-28, 2010
Cost: $300
Minnesota has a fantastic State Park system and this excursion will let campers experience Whitewater State Park in a new way! the first night will be spent at Eagle Bluff getting to know fellow campers and counselors. The following morning, campers will travel via bus to the Park, where they will stay the two remaining nights of camp. Activities will take place throughout the Park and will introduce campers to the basics of backpacking.
Grades: Entering 7, 8, and 9.
BECOMING AN OUTDOOR FAMILY WEEKEND:
Becoming an Outdoor Family
June 19-20, 2010 (Early arrival on Friday night is possible for an additional fee)
Cost: $75 per person for groups of 3 or less; $280 for a family of four and $70 for each additional person
Have you been waiting for an opportunity to get your family involved in the outdoors? Join Eagle Bluff ELC and the Minnesota DNR for our Becoming an Outdoor Family Weekend! Families are encouraged to try new activities in our family-friendly classes. Activity options include: archery, fishing, shooting, orienteering, rock climbing, nature hikes, geocahing, and high ropes courses! Children under the age of six are able to join in the weekend fun; however, they are unable to participate in the classes.
